Today, I have a very large beasty looking thing in my home who barely fit through the door. Meet Myrria, one of the dragons from Chris Weigand's Dragon series. Chris is here too interviewing her. Readers, leave a comment at the end of this blog for a chance to win one of Chris'
CW: Hello Myrria. Thank you for letting me spend some time with you. I know that Asha, your family and the twins keep you quite busy.
Myrria: No trouble dear author. I am honored to spend time with you. Would you care for some tea and dragonfruit?
CW: Yes thank you
Myrria: Now what would you like to ask of me?
CW: In Sanctuary of Nine Dragons, the dragons played a pivotal role. We learned a little about the dragon hierarchy and family ties. Can you share some of it with our readers?
Myrria: Dryas is my sister and Cielo is our mother. Alorn, the red dragon who tries to connect with and save Brandan is my mate. As of yet we have had no offspring of our own.
Cielo is the dragon queen. She comes from a long line of female dragons that Asha appointed as the Dragon Queen and leader of the Guardian Dragons.
CW: So will Dryas become the next Dragon Queen, since she is Cielo’s first offspring?
Myrria: No that’s not the way it works. Age and birth rank are not the criteria Asha uses. I am being prepared along with Arabella, my younger sister. We are Cielo’s heir apparents, appointed by Asha.
CW: Why two?
Myrria: We have separate missions on different worlds, so two queens are needed.
CW: So are there only seven dragons on Ramajadin and do all dragons serve Asha.
Myrria: Oh no there are many more dragons on Ramajadin as well as across the galaxy. I will correct one presumption on your part. If you noticed our home is called the Sanctuary of Nine Dragons. There are nine Guardian Dragons. Three have gone to be with Asha. Dryas and Tatsu have strayed from Asha’s path. That leaves four or five if you count Arabella. Asha will search the other dragons of Ramajadin to fill the positions left vacant by our predecessors and betrayers.
Not all dragons serve Asha. Some are enslaved by Sidramah, like Tatsu and Dryas. Many others live their lives doing dragon things just like humans.
CW: What about the stories
about evil dragons that eat people and collect gems. Are they true?
Myrria: Like people, dragons are many and varied. For the most part we mind our own business and stay away from people. Sometimes Asha chooses one of us to be His guardians and messengers.
As for the gems; yes, we like shiny baubles, but we don’t steal them. We get them through legitimate means. I personally have a wonderful collection of emeralds and amethyst.
CW: Can you tell us anything about what your future holds?
Myrria: Asha (God) sent Cielo, Alorn and I to Earth to continue our work. We have many exciting adventures planned and lots of wonderful people to work with in your history.
Well thank you, Myrria and Chris Weigand for an interesting interview. Readers, don't forget to leave a comment for a chance to win a copy of one of Chris' ebooks
